Welcome!

Thanks for registering for the Clinical Trial Visualization Redesign Challenge! We’re thrilled that you’re interested in making clinical trial information more visually appealing and user-friendly.

Submissions are due October 2, 2013. Bid adieu to procrastination and get started today!

Quick-start guide

  1. Get inspired. Last year, a government organization challenged designers to re-imagine the patient health record. Over 230 teams responded with amazing, innovative designs. Check out the submissions for ideas on how you can re-imagine clinical trial information.

  2. Review your resources. For the purpose of consistency, all submitters must populate their designs with content from the same sample study. Check out the sample Protocol, Informed Consent Document and ClinicalTrials.gov page to get familiar with the content you'll be using.

  3. Read up. Your design must address each of the segments found in this Required Sections and Fields document. Having trouble understanding what all those terms mean? Check out the definitions here.

  4. Start sketching. Submissions should be images or browser-viewable files that use sample clinical trial design data provided by Eli Lilly. They should also be designed in a way that is ultimately implementable HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Get started early, because the best submissions will be awarded $75,000 in prizes!
