Note from a patient advocacy leader

As someone who has been a patient advocate and a cancer patient for several years, I know all too well the pitfalls of biomedical research and clinical trials that read like ancient Greek. I’m also a journalist with an engineering background, and there have been countless times when I’ve struggled to make sense of the clinical trial reports I read. That’s why the Clinical Trial Visualization Redesign is so important.

Using data visualization of clinical trial information will make a positive, and even seismic, shift in patients' ability to understand and participate in research; it’ll give patients solid decision tools that they can use to evaluate the latest discoveries — the chasm that most patients haven't been able to cross.

This project holds huge hope, and I can’t wait to see the results. Thanks for your participation.
